Today, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis released a new list today of 9 more priests accused of sexually abusing minors. The list is on the heels of another court order requiring the disclosure, these names have been hidden. Unlike the first list it does not look like the diocese notified any parishes that they were places that these credibly accused priest had worked. Media and Public Relations Manager, Jim Accurso, did release a statement with the list.
Robert Blumeyer: Permanently removed from ministry in 1983 (died in 1983).
born June 11, 1922, in Boyden, Iowa, before he was ordained a priest May 19, 1956.
He spent 27 years in pastoral ministry and served at the following parishes before he died of a heart attack Oct. 5, 1983:
— St. Boniface Church, Hastings, 1956-65, assistant pastor.
— St. Augustine Church, St. Cloud, 1965-68, assistant pastor.
— St. Benedict Church, Bronx, N.Y., 1968-69, assistant pastor.
— St. Bartholomew’s Church, Wayzata, 1969-72, assistant pastor and pastor, 1972-73.
— St. Boniface Church, Hastings, 1973-78, pastor.
— St. Benedict Church, Avon, 1978-82, pastor.
— St. Catherine Church, Farming, 1982-83, pastor.
Gerald Funcheon: Permanently removed from ministry in 1993.
Kenneth Gansmann: Permanently removed from ministry from our archdiocese in 1960 (died, date unknown).
Thomas Gillespie: Permanently removed from ministry in 1996.
Michael Kolar: Permanently removed from ministry in 1991.
Kenneth LaVan: Retired from full time ministry in 1998. Removed from all active ministry December 2013.
Francisco (Fredy) Montero: Permanently removed from ministry from our archdiocese in 2007.
James Stark: Permanently removed from ministry in 1986 (died in 1999).
Harold Walsh: Permanently removed from ministry in 2005.
More names are now disclosed, there are more lists that exist in Minnesota, and there are many more names to find.
