Locally, there has been one reported death on I-94 in Sauk Center with a blizzard warning for counties in west-central and northwestern Minnesota, including Todd and Pope counties and the cities of Alexandria and Long Prairie.
(update) After opening this am at 10, I-94 is closing again between Alexandria and the North Dakota border tonight.
The St Cloud Times is reporting:
Snow, wind and cold are expected tonight in St. Cloud, with worst conditions to the west, said Bob Weisman, St. Cloud State University meteorology professor. He recommends party goers pack a winter survival kit and choose a designated driver before heading out.
