We write a lot about how important investigations can be when you are looking to make sure all of the facts are found in a case. There was another reminder today with the report that FBI investigations may have found a link between the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski and the 1982 Chicago-area Tylenol poisonings case that killed seven people.
It will be interesting to see what comes out of these reports. Were these deaths early bizarre work by the Unabomer? Was he involved in more things? What was done to find out what happened?
It is so important that early work be done in most cases. The right questions need to be asked and all witnesses need to be followed up on. In many cases in may be the difference between not being able to prove all of your case and receiving the Justice you deserve.
