During the month of June, I am addressing common questions that get asked in our practice. Today's Question is: Can I switch insurance companies after an accident?

As long as you have insurance at the time of the accident, you can switch right after if you so choose. You do not have to continue with the company in order to continue to get coverage from the collision, but if you are thinking about switching insurance companies, I would suggest that you first get some quotes. You don’t want to make a bad economic decision that will compound your other issues from the collision.
