The 35W Bridge in Minneapolis has collapsed into the Mississippi River during rush hour this afternoon. There are reports of fatalities and injuries but no numbers at this time. The accident occurred about 6:05 PM, and according to witnesses, the bridge was packed with bumper-to-bumper traffic at the time of collapse. At this hour there are still motorists trapped on the bridge. Every ambulance in the area has been called to the scene. Please check your local news stations if you are in the area for continuous updates.
