Rescue crews at the scene of the Minneapolis bridge collapse have pulled a car from the water today. They have not been able to locate the passengers that should have been in the car.

It wasn’t immediately certain whether the vehicle, which was pulled out for closer inspection, contained any bodies.

Families of the missing continued to wait for word that any bodies had been found in the Mississippi River. The number of dead stands at five, and at least eight victims are believed trapped in the wreckage.

President Bush also visited the scene of the 35W Bridge collapse today. He spent some time with the victim’s families and the search and rescue crews. There are still 24 people in the hospital being treated for their injuries.
